First of all, I am so glad to have the Holy Spirit because I will never ever be alone. This is great for everyone in Christ, irrespective of if you have had close relationships with people here on earth or not. Even if you have had really healthy, loving relationships, you may be aware that death eventually could bring parting. If you did not enjoy any or many close relationships – welcome to a relationship with the One who will love you to satisfaction . And you will never ever be alone again. Relating to the Lord as your Father, senior partner, brother, friend, helper and more is literally the greatest relationship you could have, and this is forever.

What a totally strong place to be in as I survey the journey of life ahead of me. Tasks, goals, dreams, responsibilities – all these I will reach for and achieve with Him. A journey shared is a journey halved. I will have His company all the way through life till I say bye-bye to my loved ones.
Let’s summarise the lavish outpouring of love from God. First, God proved His love by sending Jesus to take our place in every limitation, including death. Our debt of sin was settled. This alone is beyond human reciprocity. We could neither pay for this salvation nor give anything for the kindness. Further, in the same package, God arranged that we become His children, and partakers of divinity. Instant spiritual rebirth to become part of God’s own family, complete with God’s DNA. Then to crown it all, He gave us the Holy Spirit to live in us. God Himself living in us! What closeness of fellowship. What affirmation of the completion of the divine exchange and the assurance of the price paid in the blood of Jesus.
What weighted advantage is mine! Every day, I enjoy His guidance, direction, help, insight, vision, revelation , strength, support, encouragement. Every day . It goes without saying that in the same way that the eunuch who knew King Ahasuerus was about the best insider Esther could have wished for to prepare her all the way up to being presented to the King, so also the Holy spirit helps us learn what pleases our Father, in spirit and truth. Of course, it was Esther’s humility that set her apart for that degree of favour from Hegai. Similarly, we attract the Holy Spirit’s greater grace and favour through humility. James 4:6 … Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
