What is righteousness?
You can’t know Righteousness till you know God.
The world does not talk about righteousness. They only speak of right, wrong and moral standards.
God has his a voice , standards kingdom and opinions
God’s message sent through Jesus to human beings. That’s the gospel.
Jesus came, untouched by sin. He had to be born of a woman.
A word was released and a woman became pregnant.
Dogs, birds and other creatures have their kind of life.
Jesus of Nazareth was given a kind of life. No one else had that, except Adam.
The rightness of God… Old English word Rightwiseness.
God creates with his word. When he says LIGHT BE, so it is.
God’s name is I am.
Righteousness… Is God’s ways of doing things, the rightness of God. The attribute of always being right. When imparted at the new birth, it gives right standing
So righteousness can be received. It is a gift. It is a requirement to come into the presence of a righteous God. Until it is credited to man…
Abraham dared to believe God. He believed God and he was given the status of righteousness so that he could go into covenant with God.
Romans 4 :1-9
God justifies the ungodly .
That faith that God gives this without our working for it, when expressed towards God, qualifies us for righteousness.
Notice righteousness can be imputed and sin can be imputed.
It is not about what you did, but who you are. Born again or not? Everyone born of a fallen man is born in sin.

This righteousness is imputed to us as well if we believe!
Romans 5:1-9 … therefore being justified by faith ,we have

It is a gift

This gift is not given to Christians! It is given to the ungodly once we believe.

The gift of God is eternal life.
That’s what you get and it makes you a Christian.
Same way, if you believe, you get the gift of righteousness!
He that believeth Hath eternal life. At once, you have the same nature as your father.
When you were born of your mother, you came with life in you.
Abraham was given the gift. The man born again was born that way. Righteous. This is the legal argument.
